Needle systems for Ostling Dot Peen (Needle Embossing) machines

With dot peening, materials are marked using a carbide tipped tool (needle) that oscillates through compressed air application and moves in an X and Y direction during its upward and downward movements. This results in a dense sequence of individual dots (writing) being punched into the material. The results are a very precise, clean mark appearing as a fine continuous line – also at a very high speed compared to electro magnetic systems.
